The legend returns! The New Golf GTI brings back the spirit of the ground-breaking model of 1976. The exterior design is strong and meticulously detailed, typical of the GTI. Just visualise the black honeycomb radiator grille with red frame; roof and tail spoilers; twin exhaust tail pipes; 17” light alloy wheels; and brake discs with red callipers. Just some of the outstanding features designed to make heads turn and hearts yearn. Compared to its predecessor, the New Golf GTI is even more distinctive and will change motoring lifestyle now like it did back in the seventies.

The new GTI feeling. To meet drivers' higher expectations, the interior of the New Golf GTI takes the best from the GTI of 1976 and improves on them. The redesigned seat offers the highest comfort combined with the sportiest look. The three-spoke steering wheel includes aluminum details and graphite-coloured leather rim. Aluminum is also featured in the interior trimmings and the pedals. In all, a car designed for the road rebel in you.

Extras with bite!In line with its radical heritage, the New Golf GTI's sport chassis is lowered by another 15 mm, giving it a better road-hugging profile. The GTI is also aggressive when it comes to safety. Its comprehensive safety system includes: ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) with HBA (Hydraulic Brake Assist), ESP (Electronic Stabilisation Programme) including EDL (Electronic Differential Lock), front head restraints and three head restraints in the rear, as well as six airbags. Other top-of-the-line equipment includes tyre control display, multi-function dashboard, air-conditioning system with dust and pollen filter, and automatic coming/leaving home lighting. The New Golf GTI is for both the heart and mind.
|
The heart of a sportsman. At its very heart, the New Golf GTI is powered by a newly developed 2.0 Liter FSI-Turbo motor with 147 KW/200 HP. The petrol engine provides energetic performance with flexible torque delivery, managed by a six-speed manual transmission. The New Golf GTI achieves a maximum speed of 235 km/h, and takes only 7.2 seconds to accelerate to 100 km/h. The average consumption of the Golf GTI is an economical 8.0 litres per 100 kilometers. Truly the high performance expected of a world-class sportsman, and a leader of its class.
