You will get ahead with our engines in every sense of the word. There is the option of our high-torque TDI® engine - a 2.5L 128 kW (174 bhp) version with 6-speed manual (with 4Motion) or 6-speed automatic gearbox. Alternatively you can choose the exhillerating petrol engine: a 3.2L 173 kW (235 bhp) version with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. You will notice the effect of the engines immediately – by lower fuel consumption and enjoyable journeys. Time flies when you are driving the Multivan HL – performance always pays off.

4Motion All-wheel drive
When equipped with the 4MOTION® drive plus an electronic differential lock and Haldex coupling, the Multivan HL is an ideal combination of MPV and offroad vehicle. It masters even difficult road surfaces and gradients of up to 36°, and lets you experience driving dynamics that are unparalleled in this vehicle category. Electronically controlled distribution of drive between the front and rear axle, improved traction and sports suspension help the Multivan HL to cope with both roads and tracks in rain, snow, ice and slush. Take the gravel road for a change – you’ll appreciate the 4Motion difference.

True safety for the whole family
Whatever your destination and whoever you take with you: maximum safety is your constant companion in the Multivan HL. The standard safety package includes the electronic control systems ABS, EDL, ESP incl. brake assist system which give automatic support to the driver in critical driving situations by intervening in the brake or engine management system within a fraction of a second. Additional protection is provided by front, side and curtain air bags and ISOFIX child seat mounting points on all single seats in the passenger compartment and on the outer seats of the 3-seater bench seat. In addition, two integrated child’s seats designed to grow with the child are a standard feature in the passenger compartment. There is therefore big protection for large or small passengers in the Multivan HL.
