Treble Cone
Treble Cone Investments Ltd manages the Treble Cone ski and snowboard area, the South Island’s largest at 550ha. Treble Cone lies at the South East end of the Southern Alps of New Zealand - right in the heart of the Southern Lakes District and only 26 kilometres from the beautiful lakeside town of Wanaka. Covering 550 hectares, it has more skiable terrain than any other ski or snowboard area in the South Island. With the longest vertical rise in the Southern Lakes and spectacular views over Lake Wanaka and Mount Aspiring, Treble Cone claims the most exhilarating runs in the country.

But it’s the snow quality that really sets the ski area apart. Renowned for dry powder and plenty of it, Treble Cone’s proximity to the Southern Alps and highest lift access, means reliable snow conditions and weather. Spread over three large basins there are trails to suit all ages and skill levels. From the purpose-built learner area, to long groomed green and blue runs, through challenging black runs and ungroomed powder, Treble Cone has great terrain for all levels of ability.

The large learner’s area with snowmaking facilities provides one of New Zealand’s finest learner slopes. Located near the base building, the wide, gentle slope has an easy gradient and is perfectly groomed every night. This is serviced by the Nice & Easy Platter lift and a Magic Carpet.

Intermediate skier and boarders can now enjoy plenty of cruisey groomed trails, including 4 long expansive trails – Easy Rider, Skite, Main Street and Raffills Run - groomed to perfection every night. Major enhancement of trails and lift access over summer, now provides intermediate skiers and boarders with plenty of comfortable trails.
Off-piste skiing and free-riding is legendary with plentiful chutes, bowls, gullies, natural half-pipes and a Terrain Park built annually.
