Ski Racing New Zealand (SRNZ), is the organisation responsible for the conduct of ski racing in New Zealand. SRNZ is affiliated with the Federation Internationale de Ski (FIS) and the New Zealand Olympic Committee (NZOC) through Snow Sports NZ, and the New Zealand Ski Council. SRNZ is responsible for the conduct of alpine racing, training, coaching and development programmes at national and international levels.

The Volkswagen National Alpine Championships for 2006 were recently held at Mt Hutt. The largest field for a number of years included competitors from more than 10 countries.
